12 Angry Men

I was recommended to watch this movie by 2 of my friends a long time ago. I didn't have the urge to watch this movie.But today I decided to watch this movie whatever it takes. I m really cursing myself now for not watching this movie all these days.

It all starts with a court scene where a boy is alleged for murdering his father. It is now up to the 12 jury members to give the verdict after a brief analysis. They are given their own time to come up with an unanimous verdict. All 12 men are put in to a room to make their decision. It starts with voting to find who are convinced that the boy is guilty. The vote ratio was 11:1. One person was sure that the boy might not be guilty. So now the jury members asks his reason for believing that the boy is not guilty. He frames all his answers in a stupendous manner and jury members decide to take 2 minutes each to convince him other wise. But it turns out to be the other end. After they all tried their arguments he pointed certain facts and the ratio changed to 10:2(favor of guilty). One by one starts arguing with each other and that one man convinces each n every one in the room that the boy might not be guilty. At one point the ratio becomes equal.But every individual has their own issues (personal) and so wishes to finish off the verdict earlier rather than thinking about the boy's life. This man makes them realize that a life is at stake and the verdict should be made reasonable without any reasonable doubt. After few arguments everybody is convinced that the boy is not guilty.

First thing is that, the plot is more focussed only to these 12 different characters. It has got a good screenplay coz u will never feel bored and has only limited characters. Whenever a person is convinced that the boy is not guilty, a breaking point is revealed. This breaking point is nothing but the fact that might have been wrong. The movie just says that the person who belongs to the jury has to take the decision based upon the case rather than personal issue and interests. Director has framed every screen well and every character has its own importance in moving the story. Another amazing fact is that this movie has proved that it is not necessary to have proper names for the characters. Only at the end of the movie u will cum to know the names(that too only 2 characters.). Not even the alleged boy has a name in this movie. It is quiet amazing.

I recommend this movie to any person who has classics in their list. It does not require patience because at the end of the movie you will never find how long it had taken for you watch the movie.

C.R.Y

C.R.Y stands for Child Rights and You and I m very much dedicated to it. Recently my servant maid brought her daughter to my home since her school was on leave. I thought that she has brought her child here so that it wud be a company for her. But after sumtime I saw that girl sweeping my home(child labor). After my servant maid left our home I told my mom her not to allow that child to do any work in our home. She agreed with me. After a couple of days she brought anther child of hers and again had the same thing happening min my home. I told directly to the servant maid not to allow her child to do the work. I added that "If u r not well let me help u to do the work and not ur child." She smiled at me and apologised for doing such things. After couple of days she brought her child and she smiled at me. I was amazed she asked her child to give her company rather than doing work for her. I was much satisfied.

But wait. My bro's friend and myself had an argument on this topic and he was saying like I should be able to support them and not stop them from their way of earning. But I was totally against him. He said that the lady was teaching her some household aspects and not child labor thing. My mom supported him. I told them that she has to teach those things in her home and not in my home. the argument went to its peak and finally I made a statement, "If she is teaching her daughter some house hold work let her do it in her home and I m not allowing it to happen in my home again. In that case I will do the house hold works and not that child." The argument was put to an end in a cool manner that the child will not do the work in my home.

I have always admired the work of C.R.Y. Especially when every individual is given an opportunity to support a child for education so that we can abolish the child labor in India. I m always looking forward to such things and even suggests to few of my friends about this(though they have their own issues of denying my views). It is always very hard for me to see some child doing work in hotels and other places. My heart goes heavy when I find a child doing some laborious work(which is definitely suited for a child of age below 18).

This phase of my life can be called as the worst as well as the best part of my life.

Y is this called WORST part of my life?
I had been doing my graduation for the past 4 years and was looking for some opportunity to bunk my classes. I wished I had some family functions to attend or some where to hang out, but all those things never happened. I cursed my life and even asked "Why me?". But after I finished my graduation I had the past worst months because I had all my family functions lined up. It is not that I didn't want to attend the function but was not at all ready to face the consequences. What consequences? Do u want to know? People who are in this phase will definitely know that. For others, you will get the first question "Did u get any calls from ur recruiters?". It is not that I m not ready to answer them. But I have to answer the same question to 10 different people at different timings. At one point I thought that I should pick up the stage and announce officially that, "Hey people, I m placed in so and so company and expecting the DOJ soon. No more questions. Full stop. Do some other work." The other worst part is that I should not encounter any oldies. Then I m gone. The next question would, "When are u going to be in matrimony?". OMG. why everyone put this question to a girl in front of a crowd and embarrass her(and not a guy). Then it wud take at least a week for me to convince my parents that I m not too old to get married. I don't know what is it in marriage(after all I will get married one day). Even though they know that there both soft and hardships in marriage. Then I decided that I should not go the functions but I need some diversions. So I decided to go my cousin's home. But hell broke loose when I came to know that in her apartment there were few alliances. I cursed myself. I have no other go than to stay at my home. When at home I m in my world dreaming of my future.

Y is this called BEST part of my life?
I realised that suddenly I have got lots time to be spent. So I decided that I could do few things for which I didn't find any time in the past few years. First, I started reading different kinds of books. No matter who the author is I started reading even the craps and spent my time. Then most of the time I spent in hearing music. Started my analysis with music like how they have used the instruments and what are good music. I started my own library of movies. Just watching movies which I craved to watch when I was doing my graduation. Spending some time(valuable) with my parents. I realized that I may not find time to spend with them so I decided to spend the maxim with them. Finally I found the utmost time for enhancing my writing abilities. Yeah, I m in the process of enhancing my short stories into long one and a better one. My recent past time has been blogging which I didn't even have any interest when I was doing graduation. Now I think blogging just kills time and more than that it lets ur heart to be spilled out. Got enough time to watch certain shows in the channels which missed in the recent years.

I still remember my shaw shank redemption post and I always remember the tag line, "Hope can set you free."

Violets are Blue

I was waiting for a long time to hold this book in my hand. My close friend and my cousin finished this book ahead of me and told me that this book wasn't worth to get. But I was determined to read only if I get a hard copy(not e-book or lending stuff). Surprisingly one day my bro called from landmark and asked if I need any book. OMG I was waiting for this only. I told him I need this book. The minute this book arrived at my home I wanted to start the book but I was already half way through another book. I finished that other book that night itself. My friend scolded me wasting the money on that book. I didn't have much expectation since I had a fore warning but the thrill was contained as it was held in another book. This book about serial killers (Vampire community). My cousin told it was Yuck!!! all over the book. I told her that this is not that bad and suggested her another book if she wanted to really what yuck is.

About the book, If you are very mad about thriller then you can go for this stuff. Though the author has given away the killers earlier itself the book just brings you into it by giving how the killers are always a step ahead than the detective(the hero). I cannot say that this is the best than Roses are Red coz when Roses are Red is irresistible the Violets are Blue is just a sequel to know why it happens and how it all happens. I have planned to finish of this Alex Cross Series by James Patterson before I get my training. Hope the bookworms read these two books and enjoy the thrill.

Shawshank Redemption

Recently I watched this movie and was really really moved. This movie is centered in prison and life of few people in prison. It also concentrates on how the prison is being misused by the higher authorities and how they don't want their prisoners to complete their terms. But one guy resists everything(the hero). He was given terms for the crime that he didn't commit. Soon he identifies the truth and tries to convince the warden about this. But everything turns out nasty. The warden kills the sole witness who could vouch the hero that he didn't commit the crime. Hero decides that he cannot get out of that prison and become friends of certain people. The movie also centers two other people(who are at late 60's). They had spent their life time in prison and doesn't have any clue abt the outside. When all three stories meet at this prison everything goes normal. When the movie was abt to get over I can't imagine how the director has withheld all his viewers. Yes you will never know that you have come to the end of the movie and more than that 2 hrs would have gone just like that and u will definitely say "I never expected this.". If u really wanted to know what is really happening inside a prison then u should watch this movie.

First I thought it wud be similar to Sirai Chalai(tamil movie). But Shawshank Redemption is a masterpiece which differs from all kinds of other movies.Hero always believes that, "FEAR can hold you prisoner. But HOPE sets you free". But his friend is entirely different from him. He always believes that, "HOPE is a dangerous thing. Hope drives a man crazy". He teaches the hero how to live a life in prison and Hero teaches him how to set yourself free

Sensible Driving

Yesterday I was returning from my uncle's and found sumthing very strange. When I checked my rear view mirror and found a sensible driver behind me. Yes I thought that person to be sum middle aged and was shocked. You know he was just around mid twenties and was riding apache. Any guy who is at that age is known to drive that kinda vehicle in a mad manner(in my language "kirukkuthanama"). I kept track of his speed and was maintaining the same distance. I was awestruck. He was riding in 45 kmph and more than that he used his indicator properly. For the first time in my 8 years of driving I found a sensible driver. This I say because I myself not a sensible driver because I sumtime use more gas and ride around 60 to 70kmph. In my home I m a rash driver and even my bros. When I found one such guy like the one I have mentioned above I was really stunned. I even memorized his vehicle number and I myself amazed because I have memorized his vehicle number and still remember that, even after 24 hours. I wished I had looked at his face (He was wearing his helmet, GOD I missed to look at him). One sensible driver with matured driving skills and more than that he obeyed the rules. Hats off!!!(even though we may not have another chance to meet. But I wish I get one more chance).

Technologial Leap or Negligence????

Today a big event took place in the history of science and technology. It is called Large Hadron Collider Experiment. I m not here to discuss about the technical aspects and how man has made a giant leap in this world. The inevitability of technology is visible in day-to-day life. With the advent does not that make a man more insane and lethargic. It may show as the brain power but what abt the physical power?

Well that is not what I want to share here. When this experiment was happening there were many people in this world who were searching for the meaning of "particles" in the dictionary. Some said it is awesome to see the brain power. But they have to accept that there are still certain places where brain power is yet to be discovered. When I read how it was constructed and other details, I was awestruck. When I found that the experiment was started 24 years it started intriguing my mind. How much fund would have required and how long they would have invested. I believe that even if they had used 0.01% of the funds they cud have had better facilities to cure cancer and many other disease.

If they had invested in disaster detecting systems they cud have avoided heavy loss due to tsunami. It is not matter that matters for a common man. It is the event that happens in and around him/her. A common does not argue how earth was created and simply wants to a live a life contentedly rather than making any complications to life.

Negligence - This I say because they didn't give importance to people's life. If there had been better investment I feel they could have avoided even 9/11 incident, pentagon attack, loss due to earthquake, tsunami etc. I think they cud even avoid natural resource depletion and most importantly inflation that is much prevalent.

It they trying to find out how earth was created by nature and if they succeed that then I m sure if they invest properly they cud even find the nature behavior(worst case scenario) a bit earlier and we can never lose human power.

Just remember that TECHNOLOGY SURVIVES ONLY IF HUMAN POWER EXISTS
